Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Red Lentil
  • 1 Cup Yellow Lentil
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Chopped Garlic
  • 7 Curry Leaves
  • 6 Whole Dried Red Chili
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seed
  • 1/4 cup Oil
  • Salt to Taste

Instructions

  • First large pot add both lentils, wash and add red chili powder, turmeric
    powder, add 2 cups hot water and cook 20 min until lentils are soft, and 
    smooth.
    I am using a Hand Blender to blend lentils, add salt and mix.
    For Tarka: 
    In a small pot add 1/4 cup oil, once the oil is hot add cumin seeds, 
    Dried red chili, chopped garlic, and curry leaves fry until golden
    brown add all fry pour in lentils mix very well.
    Ready lentils soup, or Dal Tarka.
    Serve with boiled rice, chapati, bread.
